Myra Evans, lives in Toronto but was born in New York City. She emigrated to Canada in 1965, after completing a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English and American Literature at Hunter College and the University of Wisconsin.

Although Myra had an interest in drawing and oil painting from an early age, it was not until she retired from her professional life as a teacher/administrator, that she discovered the delights of watercolour painting. She has taken many watercolour workshops, art school courses and private lessons with painters in Canada and in Mexico.

Currently, Myra teaches watercolour painting at the ArtBarn School and the Artists' Garden Cooperative in Toronto.
